David's career began in the Irish Defence Forces, where he built a strong foundation in security and technology, before moving into senior roles at Eir, Siemens, Fujitsu, and IBM. In 2013, he founded CommSec to provide pragmatic, robust security solutions for SMEs and enterprises alike.


Beyond CommSec, David is an active figure in the Irish cyber security community. He chairs the Business Growth Committee and serves as an Advisory Board Member at Cyber Ireland, advises TU Dublin's Audit and Risk Committee on cyber security governance, and previously served as Chairman of OpenApp. His expertise in cyber security risk, governance, and business growth makes him a sought-after advisor on today's evolving threat landscape.
